  15. It seems to me that at least half of the posting here are concerned with 
  16. circuit-related questions.  Many would be answered by a database that we 
  17. have recently mounted on an anonymous ftp site.  The database contains 
  18. the following features:
  19.     -SHAREWARE (requires registration for continued use or distribution)
  20.     -menu-driven front end to allow searches on devices and keywords on 
  21.         titles or circuit abstracts
  22.     -dBASE-compatible format for those wishing to search other fields
  23.     -references to >16,000 articles/papers containing practical 
  24.         electronic circuit designs, from >350 different 
  25.         magazines/journals
  26.     -availability of photocopy/fax of most original articles (author 
  27.         registered with CCC [Copyright Clearance Center])
  28.     -covers virtually every field of science and technology
  29.     -updates (annually or semi-annually, depending on response)

  32.     ftp to gaitlab1.uwaterloo.ca and log in as "anonymous".
  33. The main database (~3M PKZIPped, ~10M after PKUNZIPping) is contained under 
  34.     /pub/circuits/main
  35. A smaller demo version (if you want to try it first) is under
  36.     /pub/circuits/demo
  37. Be sure to give a bin command before getting these files.
